Alphabet Light Table Activity for Kids
If you haven't made our alphabet busy box yet, then you'll need a plastic storage container like this 32 compartment no spill bead organizer. Then you'll need some kind of alphabet manipulatives such as our mirrored alphabet snowflakes, transparent letters, or homemade alphabet beads.
Since the alphabet box is clear, it works perfectly on the light table. The activity itself is pretty self-explanatory. Match the alphabet manipulatives of your choice with the letters in the alphabet box.
The boys started by matching the mirrored alphabet snowflakes.
After they successfully sorted those, they sorted the transparent letters. I think these look really neat!
J then decided to stand the box up on its side, which was an interesting twist to the letter matching. It also made the letter matching more challenging.
