The boys usually enjoy having glow sticks in the bathtub with them and one night, I thought it would be fun to start using them as drumsticks on some of the plastic containers in the tub.  Turns out, it was an awesome idea.

We also tried this activity outside of the bathtub with a variety of different buckets.  We used two ice cream pails, some big yogurt containers, and some individual applesauce containers.  Pans would work too, but would be much noisier, so choose accordingly.

For glow sticks, we used the short fat kind like these that are designed to go on a string to wear as a necklace.  They are sturdy and perfect for drumming unlike the bracelet type glow sticks.

Then drum away!
