Interacting with other kids at the playground is difficult for my son J. He prefers to play by himself or solely just with his brother K. And when he does try to initiate conversations with other kids on the playground it gets a bit awkward sometimes. He sometimes says things that don't make sense based on the social context or the question. Awkward social skills like J's are a common sign of hyperlexia.
So to help him with his playground skills, including at recess time during school, I put together this free printable mini speech and social scripts about things to say while playing at the playground.
