The book is, after all, a story about the letters of the alphabet racing each other up the coconut tree. It essentially brings the letters of the alphabet to life and makes learning the alphabet fun.

This particular book is so well-loved by hyperlexic kids that I've seen hyperlexic kids dress up as the coconut tree with letters for Halloween or book days at school. So when I say they love the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, I mean they reeeeeeally love it.

All you need to do is cut some green and brown construction paper into different shapes: triangles, squares, and rectangles. Then let your kid assemble and glue the shapes to form a coconut tree. Then add some alphabet stickers to finish it off.
