Numbers have been a passion for my hyperlexic son for as long as I can remember. When he was a toddler, he would spend hours upon hours arranging numbers, playing on calculators, and solving math problems. It's just one of those common interests of hyperlexic kids.
So if you're looking for a quick number themed activity to keep your hyperlexic child busy, then be sure to try these number pop it mazes.
Although, let's be honest, this sample pack will leave them wondering where the rest of the numbers are. So you might want to grab the full pack of number mazes (details below).
The basic idea with this activity is to connect all the same numbers from start to finish as you move around the number shaped maze. So you connect all the ones for the one maze, all the twos for the two maze, and so on. It's basically number heaven!
About these Number Pop it Mazes
Below you'll get a free sample of number mazes that are perfect for number loving kids or for just working on number identification.
To play, simply draw a line to connect all the specific letters in order from start to finish. For the number 1 maze, you connect all the 1s. For the number 2 mazes, you connected all the 2s and so on.
Please note that you don't need a physical pop it fidget to complete these number mazes. They're simply inspired by number shaped pop it fidgets.
I highly recommend laminating these mazes first so you can reuse them over and over. Here's the laminator I use and love.
