Similar to autism, what most people think they know about ADHD is based on stereotypical presentations and/or outdated information. As a result, many people have an incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated idea of what ADHD is or what it can look like.
I know that my understanding of it was pretty limited up until my oldest son was identified with ADHD. I mean I didn't even know there were different subtypes until he was identified. Then when I read the subtype he was identified with, I was like, "Yep, that's 100% him!"
You're likely here because you, too, have a child who has been identified with ADHD. And maybe you're ready to learn more about it or get some practical tips and suggestions to help support your child at home or at school.
Well, that's what these ADHD resources for parents are for. They are designed to help you better support your ADHDer and help you learn more about what ADHD is.
